AN ON-RAMP TO MANUFACTURING OCCUPATIONS

Discover Manufacturing is a week-long program that includes career exploration, industry tours and foundational topics including, industry terminology, safety, manufacturing processes, basic hand tools, virtual labs. The program gives local talent the opportunity to explore careers in manufacturing and to sharpen their soft skills by learning  and practicing professionalism, effective communication, teamwork/collaboration, and critical thinking/problem solving . 

Participants are also are enrolled in ToolingU’s, Certified Manufacturing Associate training program and participating employers can further upskill their new hires by choosing to participate in the FloridaMakes' registered apprenticeship programs at "no cost".
